That program says that it removes all traces of the program you uninstall but it doesn't. I reinstalled a game that had been uninstalled with this program and it still had saved game information. Also, I think my operating system might be corrupted as well because I had problems installing programs and doing Windows Updates the first time I tried the new computer. Any suggestions as to what I should do????
I would restore the computer to factory settings but I don't know if this would help if my operating system was corrupted from the start. I know you posted and asked a few times about conflicting software.
I'm only going by memory, and not your profile. (There are a lot of posts) But I do remember you have Avast installed. IF you have Avast 7 installed, I'm wondering if perhaps it's what's causing (or contributing to) your issues. I've read of many folks who have had problems with the latest version of Avast. But more than there should be. (IMO) If you do have 7 installed, you might want to consider going back to the prior version, to see if makes a difference.
If you do decide to go that route, make sure to use their Uninstall Utility. Another thing, again from memory. I remember you having problems with a different A/V you had installed.. (It may have been before you bought this new computer. ) The point I'm trying to make is that if you keep installing and uninstalling programs, you may have bits and pieces leftover from each. ONLY a guess. More like thinking out loud.
